How
I supported communications across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, email, and web while collaborating with teams across the organization. My work included social media content and copywriting, email newsletter production, editorial calendar management, campaign coordination, media research, performance reporting, and communications for the Tony Weaver, Jr. student anthology campaign.

  • Crafted mission driven copy across social media, email, and campaigns that amplified student voices while maintaining 826 National Youth Writing’s brand voice and values.

  • Adapted messaging for different audiences and platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Mailchimp to keep communications clear, engaging, and audience focused.

  • Applied storytelling techniques including strong hooks, direct quotes, descriptive language, and calls to action to encourage audiences to connect, engage, and participate.

Creative Director

  • Provided creative direction for Latine and Hispanic Heritage Month social media content to the graphic designer such as selecting color palettes, layout, visual elements, and by selecting meaningful student quotes from 826 National Youth Writing’s archives to center authentic youth voices and experiences.

  • Collaborated with the graphic designer by sharing ideas and feedback, including how student writing could be presented in a way that felt celebratory, engaging, and aligned with 826 National’s brand.

  • Wrote the social media caption copy to complement the final graphics, highlight the students and their writing, and connect each post to the significance of Latine and Hispanic Heritage Month.

For Disability Pride Month, I selected student writing from 826 National Youth Writing’s archives that highlighted disability representation, creativity, and unique perspectives.

I collaborated with the graphic designer by sharing the selected excerpts and creative direction, which they brought to life through engaging visuals inspired by each student’s story. I also wrote the social media caption copy to celebrate the students, provide context for their work, and connect their stories to Disability Pride Month.
